Water Mitigation

Golden Disaster Restoration is available to respond 24/7 because we understand that you need your property restored NOW! Waiting to call an expert remediation service could result in permanent structural damage, longer drying times and secondary damage caused by microbial growth.

Upon arriving at your property, our technician will come up with a plan to mitigate the water and let you know the steps that will be taken to restore your property. Our technician is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to professionally take care of your project. We use state of the art monitoring equipment from Protimeter and Tramex to properly document your loss and will monitor the readings throughout the drying process. Our fleet of equipment includes low- and high-pressure cavity drying systems, E-TES Directed Heat Drying equipment, Dri-Eaz Rover high volume extractor and much more!

The Drying Process

Water extraction: Whether there is a great amount of water in your property that requires large pumps or a small amount of water that requires our portable water extractor, we can do either! In some scenarios, very little demolition will be needed to dry out your property.

Demolition: If the water originates from a sanitary source, often times very little demolition will be required! We have weighted extractors to remove water from carpet and padding, we are skilled in directed heat drying and use the E-TES drying system, and we have low- and high-pressure cavity dryers to circulate air inside building assemblies to accelerate drying times. Unfortunately, if the water is significantly or grossly contaminated, some selective demolition will be required. The most important aspect to what we do is to safely return your property to its pre-loss state. We follow the steps outlined in the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) S500 manual to properly mitigate the water damage.

Equipment Set-Up: Once the water is extracted from your property, we will set up equipment to reduce humidity, circulate air and clean the air of contaminates if needed. This will be done by using dehumidifiers, air movers, air filtration devices and heaters if necessary. We follow the S500’s formula for determining the number of dehumidifiers and air movers that will be necessary to efficiently dry your property.

Monitoring: To effectively restore your property, monitoring at least once daily is necessary. Our technician will check meter readings around the property and relocate or add equipment if necessary. Once the drying goals are met, drying is complete!

Equipment Take-Down: Once drying goals are met and equipment is no longer needed, our technician will start to remove equipment from your project and take back to the shop for cleaning and sanitizing so it will be ready for the next project. Prior to the water mitigation crew and equipment demobilizing from your project, a final clean will be performed.

Specialty Drying

Using cavity dryers we can dry inside walls without completely dismantling the assembly. Often times we can introduce heat to the drying process to expedite drying. We have multiple E-TES units that will introduce heat and promote rapid drying. If you have a complex drying problem, give us a call!
